Robert’s piece really hit home for me.
I’ve always had the idea that home was a very physical space. Every time I
yearn to go home, I always thought about it as being in a physical home where I
felt comfortable and safe among those I love. Yet, home is deeper than that.
Home doesn’t have to be a physical location. Home can be people, memories,
experiences that grounds us, make us feel whole without a physical aspect to
it. Having a physical home on a land that is originally someone else’s demands
of me to be conscious of where I am and learn about it.
