U Can't C Me

In music in general but especially electronic music, there is always the notion of an "underground" that yields better tracks the deeper you go. This track was made in Detroit, one of those few underground scenes where it's mostly black people that engage in niche coproduction, despite heavy gentrification. Detroit techno is known for pretentiously rejecting the "jitterbug" dance and culture in the 80s, pushing it underground. DJ Assault helped jit survive a generation more and adapted it into Ghettotech drawing from Chicago, Detroit, and UK scenes, renewing jit's coproduction while keeping it underground. To go underground, render yourself invisible.
