Help I’m confused, and I don’t know if I’m Reading this correctly

Diaspora and Trauma were transparent, Ang changes that in this piece by challenging the reader to see how abstract these connotations are.  The Complexity of these terms baffle me, I can’t grasp these connotations because there is so much put into them. Now after reading “Beyond Asian Diaspora” Ang complicates my way of understanding these things.  They directly define Diaspora as “isolation, exile and displacement.” The words are multilayered and difficult to dissect.  The overarching narrative of diaspora complicates the piece further because he is saying that these terms are socially constructed. At the same time, he is saying that this is powerful.
